I. Ensure commuter students are able to access campus events. We recommend re-designing the university's website to including a commuter student page or tab and making an application to ensure all students are informed about the university's events.
III. Ensure that students with children are able to attend classes and events. We recommend the creation of a childcare program with on-campus facilities and volunteer, student staff. This will help to make it easier for commuter students to attend classes and campus events.
IV. Student Parents on campus diaper bank. Wen We want to expand the current childcare program by finding a way to get diapers donated. Ensure wellness and mental health support, prioritizing student access to mental and physical wellness services in a calm, supportive environment, promoting overall well-being. II. Establishing dedicated, accessible spaces and activities so students can unwind, de-stress, and practice mindfulness in a comfortable setting, promoting sustainable mental health practices and resilience. III. Ensure an immersive cultural experience that promotes school pride and community, with the creation of a vibrant mural, that will deepen students' connections to Bowie State University's heritage, history, and the HBCU Culture. IV. Ensure community engagement and connection with peers that contribute to a shared campus identity, celebrate cultural diversity, and build a strong sense of belonging so all students feel represented and included.
