Harshitha''' ===PROJECT 2(Creating a new lab space to learn and create tech related to Environmental Management): ======= What is Eco Balance Lab?: ========= Strategy 1: =====* It is a contemporary lab flourishing with latest technology regarding Environmental Management such as** Temperature and humidity logger.** Air Quality Index unit to measure the quality of air.** Biosensors to check if any fruit or vegetable contains toxins.** Copper Stage for Chemical Vapour Deposition.** Multiparameter meters to test water composition.** Discrete Analysers and continuous segmented flow analysers to analyse chemical composition of water.** Digital Equipment such as Computer Systems, broadband etc are provided as additional facilities** Hardware Equipment such as 3-D printers, furnace, sensors etc are also provided as additional facilities. ===== Strategy 2: =====To reduce consumption and increase reusability all tools and/ or material are received through voluntary student donations so that they can be stashed at the lab and given to those who require it on rental basis. ==== Why there is a necessity for Eco Balance Lab:====Giving sessions on Environmental Awareness isn’t enough, students must also understand the importance and application of theoretical knowledge in these areas hence they are presented with a brand new workspace to unleash their creativity and intellect. The students from each branch acquire a common workspace to collaborate and promote interdisciplinary activities. ==== Uses of Eco Balance Lab: ====* Students of all disciplines and branches along with faculty are welcome at the lab.* This leads to a culture where the students from different branches learn to value and appreciate the unique skillset of different branches. ==== Impact: ====Students can benefit from the additional resources and common workspace while simultaneously adding value and knowledge to their resume. The reusability section reduces demand and also promotes reusability of equipment.
