Universitas Terbuka (UT) is the 45th State University in Indonesia that implements an open and distance learning system. UT was inaugurated on September 4, 1984, based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 41 of 1984. UT has 4 Faculties, namely the Faculty of Economics (FE), the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences and Social Sciences. Politics (FHISIP), Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) for Diploma and Bachelor levels. Since 2004, UT has opened a Masters level in the Postgraduate Program and since 2019, UT has opened a Doctoral program. The goals of Universitas Terbuka are to provide broad opportunities for Indonesian citizens regardless of their place of residence to obtain higher education, to provide higher education services for those who cannot continue their education at face-to-face universities due to work or other reasons and to develop academic and professional education programs based on the real needs of development.
