Using Art to Fuel Innovation: We need more of it!
On many college campuses, especially small ones with small art departments like mine, art/music is pushed to the sidelines and not used in much of innovative activities or entrepreneurship on campus. This resource helped me to assure myself that there is a need for more artistic expression and use of the arts in innovative spaces. As a visual arts student, I wish there were more ways/programs on my campus that art could be paired with entrepreneurial thinking/activities in order to create innovative work, as the basis of art derives from innovative and creative thinking; they go hand in hand. I think art needs to be brought to the forefront in entrepreneurial and innovative spaces as a key factor to fuel innovation in many departments on college campuses.
