==Bio==
''Thalía Leyton is a Bioengineering junior at UTEC and is originally from a town of the North of Perú. At the age of 13, she move on to Piura city because she won a scholarship to study at COAR Piura, a high-performing school in her country where she graduated from the Diploma Program from the International Baccalaureate Organization. During her last year at school, she won a full-ride scholarship to study Bioengineering at UTEC. There, she joined BioUTEC, a biohacker space where she -as the vice-presidentvicepresident- leads and supports her team in order to democratize Biotechnology under the DIY-Bio principles. Moreover, she is currently researching on two projects in the Synthetic biology and Tissue engineering Laboratory at her university. One of them is the proposal with wich her team will represent UTEC at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition 2021. Recently, she has been accepted into a Summer Internship offered by Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic and she is working in on a research/design project focused on Biomedical Engineering.'' <br />
