Biography
My name is Syeedah White. I am from Prince George's County, Maryland.
In 2018, I received my Associate of Arts in Psychology from Prince George's Community College, and in 2020 I graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. As I returned to Bowie State in 2021 to pursue a master's degree, I had the great opportunity of joining University Innovation Fellows as BSU's first cohort. My cohort worked on various projects focused on making our campus more family and student-parent friendly, in addition to developing better communication to commuter students via our campus app.
As of May 2024, I earned my Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Bowie State University. In addition, I have began transitioning into the role of a high school Professional School Counselor in my local public school system. Amongst wanting to be a change agent in the lives of the youth, I am a strong advocate for student parents. As a former student parent myself, I want to ensure that others like myself are equipped with the best resources possible to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.
