Bio

Rouya Mirzaei is an aspiring physician student passionate about research and improving access to healthcare. She has worked on projects ranging from biochemistry and celiac disease to public health, and helps first-generation and immigrant families navigate college applications. Interested in nutrition and the gut microbiome, Rouya hopes to combine metabolism research and clinical work to create personalized health solutions.

Achievements

- Conducted research in celiac disease and biomolecular simulations; presented at ASBMB 2025. - Led cultural initiatives at MSOE, including Persian cultural events, radio segments, and student engagement programs. - Volunteered with FeelGood to organizing fundraisers, food drives, and community support efforts for the Hunger Project; made over $2600 during the 2024-2025. - National Speech & Debate Association medalist with state-level awards in dramatic and group interpretation.
