Bio

Rio Yano is a University Innovation Fellow at Stanford University's d.school, dedicated to designing innovative and impactful learning experiences. With a strong interdisciplinary background in International Relation Law from Sophia University and practical expertise in business development and project management, Rio has worked across various industries, including space and hotel OTAs.

Having spent his formative years in Japan, Rio brings a deep understanding of Japanese business practices and law. His professional journey includes roles such as Chief Producer at Uchu.inc, where he launched new businesses and managed projects, and PR and Customer Success Manager at Gaiax. Additionally, Rio has led the student organization "Cambodia For Education," promoting social entrepreneurship through unique projects.

Rio's volunteer work includes facilitating high school programs at the ICT Conference and contributing to economic empowerment at Design Matters DK. Fluent in both Japanese and English, Rio seeks to leverage his diverse experience and multicultural perspective in his next professional endeavor, aiming to contribute to global business and innovation.
