Bio
Melina Kaiser is a PhD student in Vietnamese Studies at the University of Hamburg, Germany. She is also a UIF candidate for Helmut Schmidt University, where she works as a research assistant.
Melina's dissertation centres on the environmental history of two national parks in Vietnam. It aims to develop an understanding of how social and environmental factors engage in the context of environmental conservation to create unique patterns of environmental (in)justice.
Achievements
Melina Kaiser is recipient of a PhD scholarship from Heinrich Böll Foundation. She has also received the Karl H. Ditze prize for an outstanding master thesis.
