M1A0255.jpg Julie is a second year at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying Biomedical Engineering. Currently she works in the Complex Rheology and Biomechanics Lab studying how neurological spikes result in movement. In addition, for the past two semesters she has served as a Peer Lead Undergraduate Study Leader as part of the Center for Academic Success at Georgia Tech. Previously she has done Bioinformatics work at Tufts University and interned at Flight Safety International. Julie's future goals include grad school and becoming a research professor and she looks forward to contributing to improvement of the Biomedical Engineering curriculum as part of University Innovation Fellows. Outside of school Julie also enjoys singing in the Georgia Tech Chorale and designing costumes for school and professional theatre companies.
