Giuli Nagai is an second-year student at Sophia University where she is studying Green Science in Materials and Life Sciences. She was born and raised in Brazil, had most of her education in the states (specifically in the suburbs of Chicago), and is now pursuing one of her life-long dreams of studying and living in Japan. Hence her studies, Giuli holds great interest for sustainability and environmental sciences which is why she is currently interning under "mamoru", an app that aims to connect sustainable businesses in order to protect the society and the environment. Along with her studies, Giuli is a sustainability student researcher, gardening volunteer, and a badminton athlete for her university. She hopes to apply to graduate school in the future to discover potential linkages between our society's environmental needs with economic desires.
