Bio
My name is Giselle Chavez from Edinburg, Texas. I am a student at St. Edward’s University majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Teacher Education. Mathematics has always been my favorite subject and I wish to spread my love and knowledge about math to my future students. I come from a migrant farmworking family and am a migrant farmworker myself. We harvest and pack watermelons every summer in the small town, Grapeland, Texas. I am excited to have been given the opportunity to be apart of this fellowship and can't wait to see what we can accomplish!
Achievements
I am apart of the College Assistance Migrant Program (C.A.M.P.) at St. Edward's University. I have recently become apart of the Teach for America's Ignite Fellowship.
