Daniel Mozel is a current University Innovation Fellow candidate at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is a sophomore majoring in Engineering Design Technology with a minor in mathematics. Daniel is originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, but moved to Michigan in 2012. Daniel currently works as an aquaponics researcher in the Office for Sustainability at Western Michigan University. During summer 2017, Daniel worked as an Engineering Intern at Hirata Corporation of America in New Hudson, Michigan. Daniel hopes to have a career designing and testing products that will revolutionize society.

 

Daniel is an active member of the Sunseeker team at WMU which is a team of students that come together to build a solar-powered race car. Daniel is also on the executive board of the Innovation club at WMU. Outside of school he enjoys playing a variety of sports, snowboarding, 3D printing, and building projects.
