Bio
Hello! My name is Dana Bekdash, and I am a senior undergraduate student at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Bioengineering Design. I was born on February 28, 2001 and raised in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where I attended the International School of Choueifat. In 2016, I moved to Lebanon and attended the American Community School, ACS. Throughout my years, I have developed a love for certain hobbies that have come to shape me into the person I am today. I have always had a love for movies and books, so you’ll find me watching or reading something quite often. Also, I am a constantly active and hyper person and have been doing all-around sports for most of my life (including basketball, gymnastics, cross-country, tennis, etc.). I also love to sing and play the piano during my free time, and music plays an integral part of my life. As for my academic side, I’m a naturally curious person, so I’m interested in learning about everything, but to narrow it down I am really interested in biomedical engineering, hence the decision to minor in the field, in addition to the aviation and automotive industries.
