Bio

Born and raised on the Island of Oahu, Hawai’i, Chara is a senior at Menlo College pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She is passionate about mental health awareness, anti-racism, and helping to equip the next generation of womxn leaders.

As a current senior, Chara has been an active member of the Menlo College community. As an active member of the psychology club, oaks innovation, and pacific islander club. Alongside being a member of the founding board as secretary (2019 - 2020) of the WILD (Womxn's Impact and Leadership Development Club), then vice-president (2020 - 2021) , And the present President of WILD (2021-2022). Constantly seeking knowledge and growth, Chara enjoys helping others execute their ideas, while gaining knowledge through these experiences. Throughout her time at Menlo she has supported the first TedxMenloCollege, attended Startup Weekend Silicon Valley, organizer for Startup Weekend Silicon Valley Womxn and continues to seek ways to get involved with the Menlo community.

Chara dreams of a world where people can freely express themselves without feeling the criticisms of society, a world where people are based on their individual being rather than the color of their skin, and to bring joy to any environment encompassed.
