Callista Cox

Callista is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a psychology major and media studies minor with intent to study Occupational Therapy or recieve her masters in psychology. Callista is orginally from Woodstock, GA, and currently lives in Birmingham, AL. 

Callista is involved in the Honors college, Disability Advocates Organization, Pre OT club, and BEA Student Media club. She enjoys her studies and in her free time she can be found touring the city or attending concerts. 

In 2016, Callista recieved a Southeastern Student Emmy for a documentary she created. Callista is interested in people and why they do the things they do.  She is interested in human centered design and adaptive technology. Callista hopes to help implement design thinking into courses on campus and begin the process of adding a design minor to UAB.
