Bio
Antonina "Nina" Johnston (she/her) received her vocal degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2009. She owned her own small business, Johnston Voice Studio,LLC, and taught private voice lessons for 15 years. She recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Graduate Degree in Music Education. Nina is currently completing her second Masters degree in Nonprofit Leadership through the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at UWM.
In addition to her musical and entrepreneurial endeavors she is a design thinker and the current program manager for the Human-Centered Design Lab at the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Education at the Medical College of Wisconsin. There she runs all lab programs and facilitates Design Sprints and Workshops with her colleagues.
Nina is married and a mom of two awesome kids and a crazy puppy. She enjoys a variety of activities like reading, quilting, refinishing furniture, and gardening. She loves projects and to learn new things so please share your ideas for her next project!
