Bio
I'm an interaction design student passionate about technology, art, and human psychology. Born and raised in Costa Rica, my multicultural background has allowed me to bridge creative perspectives from different cultures. I recently graduated with honors, earning an AS in Graphic Design with a focus on User Experience and an AA in Arts and Humanities. Currently, I'm fully immersed in earning my Bachelor of Science in Interaction Design.
My journey in design began seven years ago as a freelance graphic designer, where I honed my skills across diverse projects of different scopes. Additionally, I’ve spent four years working for a small e-commerce business, and more recently, I've contributed to my school's Student Design Team, managing the official IxD site and supporting our program’s project manager. Through these experiences, I've developed a comprehensive skill set in mobile and web design, package design, collaterals, digital illustration, video editing, motion graphics, and photography.
I’m proficient in the Adobe suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Adobe XD, and Dimensions. My design philosophy revolves around creating meaningful and intuitive experiences, whether it's through a beautifully designed website or a compelling piece of digital art.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I'm constantly exploring new ways to merge creativity with functionality, always aiming to push the boundaries of design.
Achievements
College
2024: SMC transcript has been annotated with “Dean's Honor List” 2022: Graduated with Honors. Majored in Liberal Arts: Arts and Humanities and Graphic Design with an emphasis on User Experience.
High School
2016: Graduated with Special Honors, CSF, and Biliteracy Recognition. Received a High School Certificate of "Major in Music," plus several other Certificates of Achievement. 2013-2016: Participated in the activities and societies of Concert/Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, and JV Basketball
