Caroline Clay is a University Innovation Fellow and a Sophomore undergraduate student at James Madison University (JMU). She is pursuing a major in engineering and minors is mathematics and business, all of which she hopes to incorporate in her work with UIF. She believes strongly in the benefits of interdisciplinary learning and enjoys making connection between all different fields of study. It was the engineering department at JMU that led her to UIF,

but she is looking forward to the opportunity to showcase her business smarts as well. Caroline has already begun to implement change on her campus by being a member of the Madison Engineering ChangeMakers Fellowship group. With the three other inaugural ChangeMakers she spent her freshman year planning projects to make JMU a more bee-friendly campus. Caroline is passionate about helping her peers realize their full potential and inspiring others to love learning as much as she does.
