Fellow:Adaline Buerck
Adaline is a second year masters student at Saint Louis University studying environmental engineering. She is working on research under Dr. Craig Adams looking at arsenic removal through ceramic filtration pots for developing worlds. She is planning on graduating in spring of 2018 and then continuing on to get her PhD with hopes of working with clean water and sanitation in developing nations.
She receied her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University graduating in the spring of 2016 with a degree in civil engineering and a minor in bussiness administration. During undergrad she was very involved in many organizations the main ones being ASCE and EWB where she held multiple positions.
She is still very involved with EWB as she is currently SLUs Graduate Advisor, the Gateway Professional Chapters tresurer, and the Midwest Regions Missour Representitive for EWB National. She has been part for the project and travel team for a water distribution project in Komucala Bolivia. The picture bellow is from one of her recient trips to the community.
With her passion for international development she finds ways to work on projects with multiple organizations. She currently started her own business with Rodan + Fields to network and provide funds for the projects she is passionate about.
She looks forward to working with UIF, meeting new people, and learning all they have to offer.
