Editing (sometimes mentioned as contributing) is an integral part any wiki - fundamentally, that is the whole purpose of setting up wikis, and form collaborative communities. While you can edit almost any page, editing certain high importance and core pages is only limited administrators. There are two editing interfaces: the new VisualEditor (VE) and classic wiki markup editing (wikitext). Though you need to go through VisualEditor's module to avoid causing any disruption on pages, going through Wikitext module is optional. However, it is recommended that you quickly skim though it, for a general understanding. You can always refer back whenever needed. These modules are your guides regarding how to edit. |
