Bio
Henry Chan is a student of European studies from the government and institutional studies department. He is passionate in art and philosophy but he does not want to stop at theories. He strongly believes a healthy personal philosophy and mindset can reshape the spectacle in viewing the world and add meaning to daily
He is currently participating an innovative community program held by a local artist, Luke Ching, who specifies in fighting labor rights for low-income workers. The program encourages university students to reexamine the security occupation by joining as part-time security force. The experience enriches his thinking about work as a university student. After working in several part-time jobs such as McDonalds, Sushiro (Japanese restaurant), ice-skate rink and security, he reflects on the nature of service working and what can be done to fill the gap between customers and service providers in order to reach a better balance.
With his ongoing journey of learning French as third language, he believes the power of communication is beyond our imagination. It is a matter of attempt to understand other's situation that creates a better harmon and he would love to be the bridge that connects people of different cultural backgrounds.
