Bio

This is Wendi, a year 4 student majoring in Human Resources at Lingnan University. I have a genuine interest in occupational psychology. It is interesting to observe the behaviour, character, motivations of an individual leading to different productivity and effectiveness in a work context. Inspired by Creating Shared Values, a concept of utilising an organisation's resources to generate economic growth and solve societal/ environmental problems, I believe linking personal attachment with the organisation's values can also unleash one's potential.

After graduating from high school, I had an adventurous summer working holiday in Budapest and Vienna alone. Serving the Chinese Tiger Parents and musicians worldwide throughout the music tour was very challenging but memorable. The sense of fulfilment motivated me to strive for improvement in working with different types of individuals.

Blessed with various internship opportunities at Sino Group and New World Development, I have deepened my industry knowledge and nurtured my skills especially in marketing, human resources management and communications. One of the valuable lessons was that giving the right motivation is the key to co-work with different teams/ departments towards the ultimate goal. It requires an understanding of each team's focus and nature of work. Collaborative work can always cause conflicts or spark creativity. This excites me and I am looking forward to the new challenges.

Achievements

Co-founded Universal Artists Association of China and organised The International Liszt Ferenc Competition in Hungary-Budapest since 2018-19.

Completed Internship at Sino Group, Corporate Marketing and Communication Department in 2019-20. Worked on the marketing campaign of sustainable visions "Creating Better Lifescape" and promotion of Farm Together, a rooftop farming project.

Completed Internship at New World Development, Kai Tak Sports Park Limited in 2020-21. Worked on the business development plan of Kai Tak Sports Park such as membership scheme and design of the main stadium with global industry leaders from ARUP, ASM Global, Populous.
