Bio
Cameryn Norris is a 19-year-old Sophomore studying Studio Art and Art History at James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is originally from Richmond, Virginia, but now resides in Lynchburg, Virginia, with her family when she is not at JMU. Cameryn is involved with several organizations at JMU. She participated in Make Your Mark on Madison, a leadership program, in Fall 2019. She has been an intern at JMU X-Labs since Fall 2019. Most recently, Cameryn served as a First-Year Orientation Guide on the 2020 JMU Orientation Team. She hopes to graduate in May 2023 and attend graduate school, also at James Madison University, and become a double duke.
Achievements
Cameryn and her fellow JMU X-Labs Interns won the All Together One Award from James Madison University's Omicron Delta Kappa chapter in May 2020.
In April 2020, she received the Martha Curt Endowed Scholarship from James Madison University's School of Art, Design, and Art History for her exceptional work in Foundation art classes.
In April 2019, Cameryn received the Madison Award for Academic Excellence and the Lisanby Award from James Madison University's School of Art, Design, and Art History.
She won a National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Gold Medal and American Visions Award in June 2019.
