Maggie Brown is a University Innovation Fellow from the Fall 2018 Cohort. She is working on an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Wichita State University. While she is studying engineering, Maggie has a passion for education. During the school year, she works as a Teaching Assistant for the class AE 512: Experimental Methods in Aerospace Engineering where she facilitates labs that demonstrate how to perform wind tunnel tests. During the summer, she directs camps at the Cosmosphere, a space museum in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Maggie was recently recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Student Leader at Wichita State University for her involvement. On top of being a University Innovation Fellow, she has also been involved with Gamma Phi Beta and Start Up Grind U, where she held many leadership position. In her time at Wichita State University she has also competed, and placed in many design competitions, including, the Koch Innovation Challenge, Shocker New Venture, Invent for the Planet, and the Airbus Wing Box Challenge. She loves sharing information with others and was a featured speaker at the 2020 Women in STEAM Gala and a student presenter for the 2019 Midwest Section ASEE Conference.
