=== <span style="font-size:large;">Degrees and Programs</span> ===<p style="text-align: justify;">UTS offers a range of subjects both for undergraduate and postgraduate students that explore the foundations of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. These subjects are designed in a way that students from a vast range of study areas can access to the various forms of ‘design thinking’ based subjects.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">As a key component of Vision 2027, student innovation and entrepeneurship entrepreneurship (I&E) is seen as critical to the sucess success of students and the university with over 90 distinct subjects that engage with I&E principles. Innovative programs such as the MBAe – Masters of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship;"><span style="font-size:smallHonours in Entrepreneurship;">UTS is located and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence all encourage students to explore transdisciplinary approaches to I&E. Students engage in Ultimo which is one UTS’ unique model of learning the most heavily populated Startlearning.futures strategy which promotes practice-oriented education for a global workforce through research-Up areas in Australiainspired and integrated learning. Students can also access online and open source courses including ‘Introduction to Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Designing Out Problems’. Leveraging this, it has become one One third of the most innovative UTS students will receive formal innovation and entrepreneurial campuses entrepreneurship training in Australiatheir coursework alongside specific entrepreneurship support. There are various programs implemented by UTS to encourage student entrepreneurship including:<fosters I&E across the nine university faculties and through a variety of unique centres/span></p><p styleinstitutes as highlighted below. =="textCultural Pathways -align: justifyFostering entrepreneurship ==  Beyond the academic pathways, UTS fosters a culture of creativity through the UTS Innovation & Entrepreneurship Unit. This unit seeks to bridge research and entrepreneurship through a strong focus on research commercialization. The unit sits physically next to the business school and offers startup spaces to support hatchling entrepreneurs. The I&E unit supports with internships; margin-left: 40pxshort courses and toolkits (including ‘Design Thinking for Researchers’ and open access courses);"><span style="font-size:small;">entrepreneurial student societies and industry connection opportunities (hackathons, workshops, camps and mentorship). The core of the unit is UTS Startups, which is an incubator aimed at focused on mentoring and providing support for any student or supporting students and recent alumni interested in developing a startup</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-size:small;">Awards like with startups. UTS Startup peoples choiceStartups is open to students from all faculties and degree types, Venture Day but most students come from Engineering and many others IT as well as Business. This is supported by recent research which found that 44% of UTS undergraduate students (2018) believe that they are aimed at providing extra funding likely or very likely to standout startups</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-size:small;">Studentjoin a start-run Innovation up and Entrepreneurial&nbsp;Societies on Campus e.g34% state that they are likely or very likely to start a business. Enactus & BCII Connect</span></p><p style="text-align: justify; margin-left: 40px;"><span style="font-size:small;">Hackathons & competitions including Project Pitch, Code2Learn, The Hult Prize and IBISWorld 3P Competition, designed following chart highlights the growing culture of embedding entrepreneurship culture within universities in Australia in an effort to launch competitive businesses</span></p><br/><span style="font-size:small;">support budding entrepreneurship in their innovative ideas. There are over 160 Incubatorsincubators, accelerators and pre-accelerators in Australia, however these remain expensive and less acessible to UTS students. As such therefore UTS seeks to promote a culture of entrepreneurship by embedding such thinking in coursework and existing degree programs alongside the startup community.&nbsp;</span><p style="text-align: justify;"></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:small;">Each of these programs are trans-disciplinary, with no limitations. The culmination of each of these has enabled UTS to become an active player in the Australian Start-Up Community.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:small;">Over the past three years, UTS has also introduced Bachelor and Postgraduate degrees that directly target the core fundamentals of high-level critical and creative thinking, invention, complexity, innovation, future scenario building and entrepreneurship; leading-edge capabilities that are highly valued in the globalised world. A direct industry demand has contributed to the successful implementation of such a vast and diversified portfolio that allows students to combine their core degree (e.g. Business, Engineering) with an innovational based degree.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"></p><p style="text-align: justify;"></p>
