Intro

RISE! Is a group started at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with the mission “to raise awareness of innovation through entrepreneurship and empower students to make their ideas a reality by giving them the tools to start, refine, and realize the visions that will shape tomorrow!” With the lack of desire to find entrepreneurship the founders set off to start a club to “RISE” awareness and put forth the action of the
Entrepreneur mindset. Lets bring awareness and culture to our campus. The college seems to be more known for getting engineers into Fortune 500 companies but not many of them are known for great startups of the Entrepreneur side of the engineering world. So the club was formed as Rose Innovative Student Entrepreneurs also known as RISE!

=== Needs and Goals ===

The goal of the organization is to create a group that will be able to accomplish things quickly as well as bringing in a network that explore the startup world and have a great way to gather resources for other fellow “RISE” members in the years to come. The need was formed after feelers went out and over 60 students responded right away. The need was there, they were able to find out that the students on campus did in fact want an Entrepreneurship group to help bounce ideas off of and create a cohesive group. The idea was to show a different path for students to take not always is the big company path the best for most students but others may want to follow an innovative path.

=== Cost  ===
Most of the fund for “RISE” came from the Entrepreneurship program and the other half of their funding come from the student government on campus which you have to write a proposal to get money from the student government. The club has been able to function and do all of their events with the money they have gotten from the other two organizations.
=== Leadership  ===
One big thing that has been discussed with this organization is to find go "getters" as well as almost OCD planners that are not happy until it is perfect, the idea is these types of people are going to further the organization more than if you get a couple of your closest friends they will lose ambition for the club and eventually leave the group all together in most cases.
=== Launch  ===
RISE startup has launched with the help of fliers with tons of emails, persistent but not annoying, having good talks with people having conversations and peaking conversations with peaking people’s interest. They have created booths to get their clubs idea and vision out into the eyes of their campus. Once you put the seed into the mind of others advertising then becomes viral!
=== Lessons learned and tips for others ===
Administration needs to know how to operate, confident and know how to get things done. Had to make bribes with bake goods for their website guru. But it is all starting to pay off in the end.
Spending and taking the time 2 hrs. (By yourself for the leader) this is what needs to be achieved this week short term and long term run ways it is just something they have learned over the past year that is a great way to get the leader to say focused on the larger picture.
