Animal Therapy for HKBU community

Project Introduction

Animal therapy, also known as animal-assisted therapy (AAT), involves interactions between patients and trained animals to promote emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. Animals can provide companionship, reducing feelings of loneliness and anxiety. Besides, interacting with animals can lower cortisol levels and increase serotonin, promoting relaxation.


Tactics

Provide animal therapy to HKBU students and staff. Collaborate with HKAATA (Hong Kong Animal Assisted Therapy Association). Implement the project via workshops. An opportunity for the organisation to be exposed to the HKBU community.

For improve the skills of students, we would collect the questions from students about acadmic questions. Then, we plan to invite professors which are related to specific field to answer the questions from students or supporting them. Moreover, it can encourage students to learn actively to change the learning atmosphere in our school.
