== FashionHack Bonfire Social Event==
Hackathons Bonfires are great way to encourage creativity and competition for new ideas on campus. Getting students into the lab to build around an idea for a set time period would be a great way socialize and get to get students in the entrepreneurial mindsetknow their peers. The #FashionHack here at Spelman There is something that is in the works. A student felt as though it was time a great need on campus to bring the culture see more of Hackthons on campus for Spelman a family-like environment and relationship between students to become engaged in the activityand staff. The #FashionHack would be Through hosting a hackathon that would be annually hosted bonfire on campus  in the innovation lab for , this social event will invite students to come together and be able faculty to think about converse with one another, make new ideas utilizing innovation lab materials mentor-student relationships, and machinery connect on a deeper level than a day-to create a new design for Spelman clothing-day interaction. The idea is that I want students will think of a design to have conversations where we feel comfortable discussing our differences, similarities, and implement it so that it can be presented to gain a group of judges for them to determine the best design. The design that wins would be sold in the Spelman College bookstore to closer bond amongst each other students.

Putting my personal experiences on an event like this can go wrong campus and we want it to be great the first time around so that it can become a tradition (maybe with different themes each year). Make a sign-up sheet and blast out the event when promotion is solid to all campus students interested in helping. Those who help should things I have attended a hackathon at least once and should attend a workshop on how the event will run prior to the real thing.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">Make sure that there is plenty feedback heard from the event to make sure that the program gets better as it is continued in the futuremy Spelman sisters.</span></span></li></ol>
Most of the Spelman campus has been eager to experience campus life firsthand and because of the pandemic that has not been possible. Events that would normally be available to everyone, were determined by a ticket draw. Upperclassmen are not on campus to help facilitate traditions, so it is disappointing and they are not serving who they should be serving.
So, (will you?) help me establish new traditions that all Spelman women can enjoy.
== Spelman & Company =='''What is the change you want to see at your school?'''
Students would have the opportunity to be partnered with companies outside of the school community '''Why is this change important to get a better understanding of how startups operate. This would include students sitting down with managers/business owners of real companies and understanding the business model you and getting to know every aspect of the company. The student should then think of ways to make the company better whether that be adjusting the business model to increase earnings or to come up with ideas to make increase the consumer base. Students will get the skill set they need to learn how to run and begin their own business. The purpose of this project would be for students to be involved in the business and learn about entrepreneurship through real world problems.your school?'''

==Project Pitch==
Here is a list of the key elements that we will keep in mind as the event comes into fruition:
== PitchWorks ==* Audience ** Should be the students are the main target audience for the bonfire on campus social activity *** Both upper class students, first and second years, and especially the transfer students** The students make up the majority of the population, therefore making them the key goal** We fellows are also students at Spelman College* Need** The students need more social events for all of them to engage amongst each other. ** There needs to be more leisure social engagements rather than strictly academic engagements for the students. *** For different majors and minors to mesh and mingle * Our UIF Experience** My UIF training has allowed me to talk to other students on campus and gain their perspective on what is lacking in their college life. * Message ** This could provide a lot of different opportunities for Students to engage in socializing with their peers. Doors can lead to new ideas being formed and collaboration between majors. * Action ** Spread the word about our activity** Participate by attending the event
Students would engage in a project that is iterative and gave them the opportunity to solve a real world obstacle. They would undergo a certain training to develop and idea, iterate on it, and then implement it. They would then be able to present it to a group of judges that held high positions and are well versed with pitching. These individuals might be VC’s or investors and could potentially invest in the idea. This will encourage a startup culture on campus and encourage students to actually implement their ideas. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<span style="text-indent: 48px; font-size: 14.6667px; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: 700; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">Milestones:</span><ol style="margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;"><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">Students will attend an orientation introducing them to different concepts around entrepreneurship.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">Students will receive a guide that will introduce them to the concept of entrepreneurship and intensive steps on how to solve a problem.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">Students will dedicate time to the innovation lab and make their idea come to life.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">They will then layout a plan to implement a business model.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">They will prepare a speech for their pitch.</span></span></li><li><span id="docs-internal-guid-54a2a095-f7f0-8ad5-0c8e-528b62379798"><span style="font-size: 14.6667px; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: transparent;">There will be a pitch competition for students to pitch to VC’s.</span></span></li></ol> == Related Links ==
