Jake graduated with his MBA from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale in 2020, where he was named a 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar<ref>https://news.siu.edu/2019/09/092519-coddington-named-forbes-under-30-Carbonalescholar. His primary responsibilites at the OERD include business consultation php</ref> and market research for students and local business owners, heading served as the president of Saluki Entrepreneur Corps student business incubator program, and co-heading the Entrepreneur-in-Residence programorganization.&nbsp;

Jake is also Through the president of Saluki Entrepreneur CorpsUniversity Innovation Fellows program, which focuses on enhancing it's members business and entreprenurship skills through workshopshe was given the opportunity to travel to Dubai, competitionsAbu Dhabi, and networking events.&nbsp;<div>Prior to his time at SIU-Carbondale, Jake graduated from the Stanford University of Mississippi with both a Managerial Finance for innovation and Marketing degreedesign thinking workshops. At the University of MississippiIn partnership with fellow UIF [[Fellow:Carly Kasicki|Carly Kasicki]], Jake lettered in varsity basketball created and was on co-taught the Southeastern Conference (SEC) academic honor roll. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternityfirst student generated class at SIU-Carbondale, a student worker and ambassador "Innovations in the Center of Innovation Sustainability".
