Originally from the Boston, MA area, her school and work has taken her from North Carolina (go Heels!) to Ukraine, South Africa, and Italy, and has landed her in Northeast Ohio (hot take: Akron was an upgrade from Rome). She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University where she is studying how universities can have a greater impact on communities by helping solve complex social challenges through transdisciplinary learning. Her academic interests are in inter and transdisciplinary research, learning, and teaching; innovation in higher education; community-engaged learning; and anchor institutions. Bio
Abby is a connector and learner with a background in higher education, experiential learning, and community and economic development. Originally from the Boston, MA area, her school and work has taken her from North Carolina (go Heels!) to Ukraine, South Africa, and Italy, and has landed her in Northeast Ohio (hot take: Akron was an upgrade from Rome).
