Michelle Joslyn is an undergraduate at Grand Valley State University studying Business Management Public, Non-Profit Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems Finance and Budgeting on a Pre-Med track. Originally from Cereal City USA (Battle Creek, MI), Michelle came to Grand Valley undecided what she wanted to study, but with an excitement to learn anything and everything. After talking with mentors, and taking the Honors College course, Design Thinking for Social Product Innovation her Freshman year she fell in love with the innovation process and how she has been able to apply it to her studies and work in the medical field.&nbsp;<div>[[File:Michelle JoslynMichelleJoslyn .pngjpg|thumb]]<br/></div><div>Michelle wanted to continue her the work that she completed started in her Freshman Design Thinking for Social Product Innovation course, and with the help of her professor, Michelle and her friends (past UIF Fellows) started the Social Innovation Club on Grand Valley’s campus. This is an interdisciplinary club that takes student innovators into the problems in the Grand Rapids/Grand Valley community and works to create change and solve those problems through the Design Thinking process. She Staying active on campus, she is also a member of the Design Thinking Academy, and Women’s Rugby Club.&nbsp; Michelle had the opportunity this past summer to study abroad in Ghana works for five weeks though the Honors Cultural Exchange & Service Learning at Grand Valley.&nbsp;</div><div><br/></div><div>Outside of class, work and homework Michelle loves to play around with various coffee brewing techniques, hike local parks, play Rugby, go on runs, explore other cultures and design workouts for her friends.&nbsp;</div><div><br/></div><div>Michelle has Michigan Health Information Network as a favorite quote by Chief TecumsehProject Management Intern, about living Hope Network as a life through service of your peopleRehabilitation Technician, respecting all and groveling to noneLendGR as a Student Consultant. Michelle, above all else, loves using In her free time to volunteer at the local hospital and at the VA Medical Center, as well as leading events about innovation and community betterment. She also works as a Rehab Technician at Hope Networkyou can find her playing yard game, a residential program that serves people with brain and spinal cord injuries.&nbsp;</div><div><br/></div><div>Reach outtraveling, send me a message!
