<br/>From establishing a passion for problem-solving, Winn knew she wanted to pursue a career that would allow her to continue identifying issues and discovering ways to improve life within her community. This desire led her to become a mechanical engineering student at the University of Dayton. Winn’s passion for innovation took off once she attended the engineering innovations course (EGR 103) that focused on problem-solving. Through developing a hurricane pet pack out of cardboard to a one-handed hair dryer stand, Winn knew that she chose the perfect degree that allowed her pursue her passion. At the end of the semester Winn’s professor appointed her to become a UIF member. To this day, she continues to make a [[University_of_Dayton_Student_Priorities|positive change on campus]] by identifying issues and figuring out ways to solve them.
