Biography of Irvin Soto

My name is Irvin Soto, and I am a Electronics engineering student at Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).

Throughout my studies in electronic engineering, I have cultivated a solid foundation of technical and interpersonal skills, which have been crucial for my personal and professional development. My passion for technology translates into a strong commitment to support students from national schools who lack access to STEAM courses, facilitating their integration into the technological world through social workshops that promote inclusion and diversity.

In my role as deputy project coordinator at Colegio San Pedro-Villa Caritas, I lead and promote initiatives that stimulate the active participation of students in activities related to STEAM approaches. This commitment has contributed to the creation of a more accessible and motivating environment for all students, fostering their interest and skills in technology.

I have also had the opportunity to work on the development of an application for RSM Peru, aimed at optimizing processes and automating functions through the use of Power Apps and API connections. This experience has provided me with practical skills in the implementation of effective technological solutions, adapted to the needs of the business environment.

My training is complemented by a course taken at the University of Ulm, Germany, where I applied my knowledge in software engineering and automation to develop a robot capable of detecting gases and malformations in soils. This experience enriched my practical perspective on applied engineering and its implications in solving complex problems.

I have actively participated in programming competitions and have been a member of the SEDIPRO group, focused on project development and management, where I have demonstrated outstanding skills in problem solving and creativity in competitive environments. In addition, I have certifications in cybersecurity and Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching, which consolidate my technical background and my ability to face challenges in the technological field.
