Jake Coddington is a first second year MBA student and graduate assistant at the Office of Innovation and Economic and Regional Development (OERDOIED) at SIU-Carbondale. His primary responsibilites at the OERD responsibilities include business consultation and market research for students and local business owners, heading the student business incubator program, and co-heading the Entrepreneur-in-Residence program, and assisting in the operation of the student business incubator.
Jake is also a 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 Scholar and serves as the president of Saluki Entrepreneur Corps, which focuses on enhancing it's members business and entreprenurship skills through workshops, competitions, student organization and networking eventsalumni relations chair for SIU for St. Jude.

Prior to his time at SIU-Carbondale, Jake graduated from the University of Mississippi with both a Managerial Finance and Marketing degree. At the University of Mississippi, Jake lettered in varsity basketball and was on the Southeastern Conference (SEC) academic honor roll. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, a student worker and ambassador in the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Tennesse Valley Authority fund manager, and a member of the financier's club, investments club, and entrepreneurship club.

Jake enjoys sports (especially basketball and football), traveling, and music, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family. He hopes to get into strategic business consulting and one day start his own business and travel to many places around the world.
