Evan Maslin is a junior studying economics and international studies at the [https://www.unf.edu/ University of North Florida] (UNF), and is a member of the inaugural [[File:EvanMaslin.jpeg|thumb|EvanMaslin.jpeg]]group of University Innovation Fellows. Relocating to Florida solely to attend UNF, Evan immediately sought out ways to get involved by becoming the leader of two internationally focused organizations, [https://www.unf.edu/intlctr/IS/IS_Si_Intl_Ambassadors.aspx the International Ambassador Board] and [https://www.unf.edu/coggin/abroad/Coggin_Delegation.aspx Coggin Delegation]. This past summer, Evan interned with U.S. Representative Anthony Brindisi (NY-22) and hopes to eventually work for the U.S. Department of State specializing in foreign policy related to international environmental politics, energy security, and environmental migration. Evan is a board fellow with the [https://www.worldaffairscounciljax.org/ World Affairs Council of Jacksonville], an organization that he says has been critical to his personal and professional growth. He aspires to create a culture of change at UNF that is rooted in creativity, intellectual curiosity, and solving the real problems that impact both students as well as the local community.
