Students from the Department of Engineering, Sciences, and Medicine should be exposed to more courses that integrate the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship. Innovation applies not only to business students but to all. The real challenge is trying to merge the ~~students~~ student's academic focus ~~into~~ on the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship. Students working towards a degree in business or science understand the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship.  The plan of attack to tackle this issue is currently being investigated in the form of creating more courses that are interdisciplinary in ~~their~~ nature. A current example of this type , of course , being implemented at Universidad de los Andes would be Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This class is open to students of all majors that are doing the option (minor) in Entrepreneurship, and currently contains students from The School of Business, The School of Sciences, The School of Medicine and The School of Engineering. Tactics + Milestones # These workspaces should be spots on campus where you can go if you have an idea but you don´t know how to start pursuing it.#Define which spaces are in desperate need to be renovated, and which of those can we actually intervene.#Set up parameters, terms, and conditions of the competition. This will orient participants in what is expected from their submissions.#Launch the competition#Forge an alliance with a particular course of the Design, Architecture, or Arts curriculum that might be interested in making the vision a reality once the winner has been chosen. Uniandes is located in what used to be a humble neighborhood with a high level of poverty. Nowadays, the region has evolved into a more secure and developed one, yet there is still an area for improvement. Proyecto Fenicia is an Uniandes initiative where the institution seeks to involve the neighborhood inhabitants in an effort to generate a positive impact on the with ~~the~~ University’s growth. Our idea was to open and generate spaces where neighbors share their problems and students have ideation spaces to manage and solve hands-on projects with a positive impact on the Uniandes immediate surroundings, which really puts the project in the Colombian context, in the hope to help the development of great projects that can be replicated.

Our first choice is the Business makerspace given that it doe not require any heavy machinery (as is the case of the engineering makerspace) nor does it require a constant replenishing of expensive materials (like it usually happens in design makerspaces).
