Prior to his time at SIU-Carbondale, Jake graduated from the University of Mississippi with both a Managerial Finance and Marketing degree. At the University of Mississippi, Jake lettered in varsity basketball and was on the Southeastern Conference (SEC) academic honor roll. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, a student worker and ambassador in the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Tennesse Valley Authority fund manager, and a member of the financier's club, investments club, and entrepreneurship club.
Jake enjoys traveling, sports (especially basketball and football), music, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family. He hopes to one day start his own business and travel [[File:Jake Coddington.jpeg|none|300x150px]]to many places around the world.
