Rachel Acevedo is a University Innovation Fellow in-training and an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Her passions include health carebiomaterials, [[File:Rachel.JPG|thumb|Rachel.JPG]]discovering learning new resourcesthings, and traveling the public goodworld. Rachel was born in Augusta, Georgia and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she stayed until 2015, when she left for college in Madison, Wisconsin. It was in her second year at  At UW-Madison that , Rachel was introduced has spent a lot of time exploring many different interests and possible career paths. Through her industry experience with companies like Procter & Gamble and Georgia-Pacific in addition to on-campus research experience in the University Innovation Fellows programNotbohm Lab, Rachel has developed great critical thinking and problem solving skills that she is ready to put to use. 
At In her second year at UW-Madison, Rachel has spent a lot of her time exploring many possible career pathswas introduced to and trained in the University Innovation Fellows program sponsored through the Stanford d.school. She Since then, Rachel has seen what her education can afford utilized her in industry through an internship with Procter & Gamble skill set and currently works as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in talents to help bridge the Kreeger Lab which is dedicated gaps she sees on campus and help bring new and innovative resources to research in ovarian cancerher school. On her Rachel hopes to continue this legacy on campus, Rachel is interested in creating more synergy and interaction between disciplinesby helping to train the next leadership circle at UW-Madison.
