[[File:Christian Ammerman.jpg|thumb|Christian Ammerman.jpg]]Christian Ammerman is an undergraduate University Innovation Fellow at Wichita State University and is from Valley Center, Kansas. He is studying Secondary English Education and English Literature Arts, with a minor in Graphic Design. From a young age, Christian has always been fascinated with the field of English, often reading and writing in his free time, which naturally influenced his decision for his future career. Christian's higher education is primarily focused within the fields of English and Education, however, he really wants to incorporate as much interdisciplinary content and learning as possible.
Since coming to college, he has found himself involved in many different opportunities, such as the College of Applied Studies Ambassadors, an Innovation Project called LyfeLock, the Office of First Year Programs, WSU Reads Selection Committee, and the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College.
In his time with UIF, Christian is running a project titled Innovation: Station, which is a crossover of WSU's WUIFx Program and the Innovation in Action workshop that was held by the Honors College. This program primarily focuses on teaching middle and high school students design thinking, problem-solving, and STEAM skills, mainly in underfunded, underpopulated, and underserved schools. This unites his passion for leadership, education, and innovation into one cohesive project.
