She is an undergraduate student studying Cell and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry and certification in Bioinformatics and Genomics. She is also a member of the Frederik Meijer Honors College. Moy is originally from Troy, MI, and now lives in Allendale, MI during the school year.</span></span>
<span style="font-size:medium;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;">In her freshman year at Grand Valley, Amanda took a course through the Honors College called “Design Thinking for Social Product Innovation.” This is where Amanda got her start in design thinking, as well as discovered the University Innovation Fellows program. Since taking to the course, Amanda has joined Grand Valley’s Design Thinking Academy and continues to practice product design and innovation.</span></span>

<span style="font-size:medium;"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">In her spare time, Amanda works as a biology tutor for NCAA and GLIAC athletes, plays bass guitar and viola, is the outreach coordinator for Social Innovation Club, and is a member of the National Biological Honors Society (TriBeta). She is also working on a shared research project between Grand Valley and the University of Georgia studying brain stem cells in planarian worms and plans to present her completed research in April 2019.</span></span>
