Apart from the subjects related to their core branchesthat have been inducted in the curriculum, there are subjects such as have been courses like Design Thinking and Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship entrepreneurship and Design Thinking which have been introduced quite recentlyB. Students Honors that are exposed to ways of thinking innovativelyharnessing innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the students. Events on innovation keep happening in There has been a consistent support from the college towards the form of students by providing platforms like annual technical fests like Avalanche“Avalanche”, where a student gets an exposure to implement innovation with design thinking and students also participate in competitions organised by the Government of India entrepreneurship, through paper presentations, business models and other their entities. We have a Department of Management Studies that offers a major in entrepreneurship. There are a few many clubs like the Programmers Club and the </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Entrepreneurship Development Programme which promote innovative thinking among students. Hackathons organised by the New Age Incubation Network (NAIN) help to identify potential student projects that can be funded by the Government of Karnataka. Students Also, students are encouraged towards innovative thinking through mini projects that they have every semester. In addition to this, every branch has a Design Thinking course for a semester sponsored by highly reputed government organisations like KCTU under Technical Business Incubation(TBI) in which students have to individually come up with a prototype that solves a unique problemthe direction of promoting entrepreneurship. We have the Industry-Institute Partnership Cell which has facilities like Flexible Manufacturing System, Rapid Prototyping Machine, Coordinate Manufacturing Machine and Surface Roughness Machine, which can be used by students who have undertaken some projects, and also by the industry to train new recruits from the college. The NAIN Incubation Centre has all the facilities conducive to start start-ups by students. Extracurricular The teams for &nbsp; like SAE,BAJA,CSI,ASME,IEEE,DST-TI make the SAE competitions encourage students to think differentlygo for lateral thinking, incubate their ideas and come up with their own ideas for problems that have constraints, business and market their creation at the end. The Computer Science and Engineering department has industry partnerships to provide internships to studentstechnical models. The Mechanical Department has a tie-up with Quest Global AEQUS &nbsp;to provide CAD/CAM training to students. In addition to this, there is the Tata Technologies Ready Engineer program. Start Ups in the IT Incubation centre also provide internships to students.</span></span>A group of 4 students from across departments from our college&nbsp; have incubated their project at IIM Bangalore and funded by Government Of India and Texas instruments for their distinctive performance at DST-TI a national level competition encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship. They now own a start up named Sylus. There are start ups namely Bitjini, Ecobilz, Nidhi Consultancy services, Scrap Karo cash that are designated at college incubation centre which provide internship opportunities to the students on campus.
