== Tactics#3.4 Bi-Monthly Inter-Departmental Prototyping Challenges (In the making) ==

'''Description:''' Berea College has a lot of resources relevant to Innovation and Entrepreneurship on multiple levels. The problem is that those resources are not accessible to the campus at large and only students in taking classes in these departments have access to those. The inter-departmental prototyping challenges are a way to foster cross-collaboration between departments in a fun, engaging and insightful way. Because the idea is to bring students and faculty together, this initiative is supposed to be student-led by Berea Innovation Studio and supported by all the other departments on board with the prototyping challenges and the EPG office.

*Start People who submit ideas worthy of being prototyped are put in contact with identifying the problems and recognizing opportunities student-champions in every single department that can be associated (early February3 days after submissions opened)

*Finalize Teams Participants start to prototype thumbnails and have faculty in those departments help them when they get stuck (mid-Februarytwo weeks)

*Organize weekly training sessions with Faculty Sponsor (mid-February - mid-March)When they have a clear prototype in mind, they are given a space on the quad where most students will see them prototyping

*Conduct customer discovery in order Along the process, students who want to gain empathy and develop business idea bring new ideas to the project volunteer to help and plan leave sticky note with suggestions (mid-February - mid-Marchanytime when the challenge is open)

*Participate in Idea State U Challenges close (end of Marchweek 7)

*Winners follow up with the angel investors The most viable (early Aprilbest built) prototype gets an award and its active participants receive a scholarship to visit a studio, or a factory or a prototyping space of their liking (week 8)
