<font size="3" face="Calibri" color="#000000">Raeziel Casas is a University Innovation Fellow (UIF) candidate pursuing Civil Engineering at the University of Portland. She is [[File:Raeziel Casas.jpeg|thumb|Raeziel Casas.jpeg]]originally from Guam, where she lived until 2016 when she ventured across the Pacific Ocean all the way to Oregon for her undergraduate studies. After exploring the various disciplines offered at UP, she aligned herself with the countless possibilities that exist within civil engineering- a field of innovative design, construction, and maintenance for the larger community.</font>

 <font size="3" face="Calibri" color="#000000">At UP Raeziel serves as an officer for the Alpha Lambda Delta student organization, a platform where she encourages others to further value scholarship, service, and leadership. Since her high school years, she has devoted time towards impacting society: at senior homes, cancer awareness centers, and local park restoration projects. In college she continued She continues to volunteer as greeter for Sunday Mass, advocate cultural diversity as member of the Filipino American Student Association, and tutor at local elementary schools in Portland. Currently Raeziel works at her school’s library as a research assistant, where she learns and in turn educates others how to stay technologically resourceful. As part of her recent civil engineering course, her class collaborated with the Portland Public Bureau of Transportation on a local “Livable Streets” project, one that has exposed her to important stages of the “design process”. Through the UIF program Raeziel hopes to build a stronger foundation in her skills of excellence beyond the school setting- where passions, innovation, and collaborative success make the world go around.</font>
