Timmy Friesen is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate study studying Pre-Engineering at South Plains College (SPC).His focus will be [[File:Timmy Friesen1.jpg|thumb|Timmy Friesen1.jpg]]Mechanical Engineering when he transfers to Texas Tech University in the fall of 2017. Timmy is originally from Seminole, TX, where he lived until 2014, when he moved to Lubbock, TX after his wife was transferred there for her job. After spending nearly a year at a job that he did not enjoy, he decided it was time to go back to school to pursue a career in a field he was passionate about. That is when he enrolled at SPC, and began to make that dream a reality.
At SPC, Timmy is the vice president of Students Entrepreneurs After Real Change (SEARCh), and a member of Pay It Forward. Along with being a full time student, Timmy is married to his high school sweetheart. In his free time, Timmy is an avid outdoorsman. He loves to hike, hunt, fish, play sports, and take his 10 year old Staffordshire Terrier for walks.
