With two very strong programs at The University of Oregon currently has many silos of innovation around campus, including the UniversityProduct Design Program, The Lindquist Center for Entrepreneurship, The Green Product Design Network, Innovation Partnership Services, and Entrepreneurshipthe Regional Accelerator and Innovation Network. The current, there is tremedous opportunity multi-faceted state of innovation and entrepreneurship on campus allows tremendous opportunities for crossover, collaboration and joint innovation. The Our biggest issue: how opportunity on campus is integrating and connecting the right parties together to integrate two fairly segregated generate new innovations and collaborations between all of our silos. Students from all disciplines. Design students excel will play a vital role in making this conversation possible, and linking together the product creation sidecenters for innovation on campus, whereas entrepreneurs tend to excel in implementation (at least as observed at U of O). These two disciplines have alot to offer one another; it is just a matter of getting well as bringing the right people together. Designers need vast campus resources to create a mindset that the design process does not end at final prototyping; it continues into implimentation. Furthermore, business students can learn a lot about attention of the design process, iterative ideation and rapid prototypinggeneral student body.
