Christine Maida is from Chicago Illinois[[File:Christineprofile.jpg]] She grasuated from Lockport Township High Schoool and is now an engineering student at Saint Louis University. She is working on her Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Enginering. She is currently working on a desgn team that is sponsored through Parks College of Engineering. Her design team is working on redesigning the slow bio sand filter for developing communities around the world. She has been awarded the iScholar of Excelence award and has been recognized at the Lawerence Technological University Innovation Encounter for her teams innovation design challenge submission. Christine has proffesional interests in military and commercial jets as well as space exploration.

She is equally passionate about engineering and business and has found many ways to get involved in activities on campus that have exposed her to both fields. She has served as the Vice President and project manager for SLU's experimental aircraft laboratory and has worked on a variety of other technical design teams. She is an intern for the Chafeitz Center for Entrepreneurship and has grown to know the St. Louis entrepreneurial scene very well.</supfont><strike/span> <span><font size="3">As a UIF Christine has co-taught over 350 students rapid ideation strategy with her fellow UIF. She also organizes innovation events every semester that aim to connect the engineering and business schools on her campus with entrepreneurial firms native to the St. Louis area.
