= Introduction = The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) is a group of influential people around the world who wish to work together to make improvements to it. They banded together in order to fight a wide variety of issues around the globe today including things all the way from climate change to people's health. The CGI accomplishes this through inspiration, networking, knowledge building, and collaboration of its members with a variety of communities. The CGI boasts an impressive array of members including heads of states, nobel prize winners, and much more. = Need and Goal = A variety of needs are attempted to be met by the CGI. They are affiliated with thousands of volunteering and aid efforts all around the world. In particular, they focus on fighting preventable diseases, health, childhood obesity, environmental protection, and fighting economic injustice. A couple of the organizations which the CGI is strongly associated with are: *The No Ceilings Project*The Alliance for a Healthier Generation*A host of CGI sub organizations The goal of CGI is to promote the spread of not just opportunities to help people, but an actual response to a variety of plights around the planet. You must provide a variety of information like: *Prospective Member Organization Name*Proposed Annual Meeting Delegate*Position*Address*Email*The bio or resume of the proposed Annual Meeting delegate*How you heard about CGI Not to mention, the cost of remaining in good standing with CGI is $20,000 annually. = CGI Member Benefits = There are a few oppurtunities extended to every active CGI member such as: *The CGI Annual Meeting will allow one representative to attend their exclusive event*The CGI will provide aid to its members in succeeding in defining as well as accomplishing their goals that they set out in their*The CGI grants its members the chance to use a variety of CGI property which would be otherwise unavailable to them Every individual or organization who joins CGI creates a Commitment to Action. What this means is that they set out one particular thing they can do to improve the world we live in regarding something that they find meaningful. CGI call to actions typically focus on: *The Built Environment*Energy*Education & Workforce Development*Market-Based Approaches*Response & Resillience*Technology*Girls & Women*Global Health*Environmental Stewardship It is up to who created the Commitment to Action to finance their goal. There are a wide variety of Commitment to Actions, as one of the three requirements is that they are new. The other two requirements are that they are measurable and specific. Currently, 3,400 Commitments to Action have been made by the CGI.
