<span style="font-size:larger;">The University of North Dakota is the oldest and largest university in the state. UND was founded as a university with a strong liberal arts foundation and is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as high research activity institution. UND is ranked among the top 100 public universities in the country by U.S. News & World Report. UND offers a variety of professional and specialized programs, including the only schools of law and medicine in the state, including the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.</span>
<span style="font-size:larger;">In May 2014, the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education approved the establishment of the University of North Dakota School of Entrepreneurship. This move makes our school one of the first in the nation, with only one other public university and three private universities offering schools dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.</span>
<span style="font-size:larger;">There are many community entrepreneurship resources, including the Center for Innovation. The Center for Innovation at the University of North Dakota was among the first entrepreneur outreach centers in the nation when formed in 1984. The Center provides assistance to innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers to launch new ventures, commercialize new technologies, and secure access to capital from private and public sources. </span>
