He grew up in Joppa, MD and [[File:Beya.jpg|thumb|Beya.jpg]]graduated from Joppatwone High School where he played soccer and tennis. &nbsp;Upon starting college, he is a pro-active student participating in many organizations including the Society of Automotive Engineering, National Society of Black Engineers, The Student Entrepreneurship Society, and the Soccer Club. Ravin has interned since his freshmen year including the Army Research Lab, and the prestigous John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
